Celeros announces support for fixed-content storage in EzSANFiler XD Series Product Line.Redwood city, California, April 29, 2008 — Celeros Corporation, a leading supplier of high performance and affordable networked storage appliances today announced support for fixed-content storage in EzSANFiler XD Series to address the growing requirement for archiving in midsize enterprises. Celeros XD Series addresses affordability, high capacity at small space, energy saving and simplicity, all key factors in an effective archiving system. Celeros fixed-content storage platforms achieve one of the highest densities per rack space used in the industry. For example, an archival system based on a combination of Celeros XD512 and X412SJ platforms can provide up to 144TB of raw capacity fixed-content storage in 13U high of rack space, or more than 11TB per 1U. Another key factor for an effective archiving system is to provide large capacity that consumes little energy. All Celeros fixed-content storage platforms provide MAID (Massive Array of Idle Disks) technology. MAID employs a large group of disk drives in which only those drives in active use are spinning at any given time. This reduces power consumption and prolongs the lives of the drives. “The main impetus behind fixed-content storage requirement is compliance with data protection and retention regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA, ” said Abtin Assadi, President and founder of Celeros.“ Many of our customers and partners in financial sector, healthcare industry and legal professionals articulated their need for fixed-content storage to address their archiving requirements, ” Mr. Assadi added. “ The new XD Series will make managing and archiving fixed-content more affordable and simpler than ever. ” Mr. Assadi continued. Celeros customers can now choose Celeros XD Series fixed-content storage solutions with capacities starting from 1TB to up to 48TB in a single chassis or up to 176TB in a single cluster.
